Location: Woodland foothill area, called the "Hills of Evergreen", with strong winters and mild summers

RANKS

Leader || Leads the herd and is responsible for their safety. They have the final word in important decision and are the last ones along with the band stallion to leave dangerous sitations. The rank is democratically chosen by the herd member's and is not gender-dependent.

Co-Leader || They are the leader's advisor and support them in difficult decisions. They are responsible for bringing the herd to a secure place in emergency cases. In case the leader is unable to rule the herd or they die the co-leader automatically occupies rank and the leader's tasks unless differently chosen by the herd.

Healer || Has either a high knowledge of herbs or magical healing skills. They are responsible to heal mentally and physically sick or injured members and assist mares during birth. Not gender-dependent.

Warrior || Protects the herd by the leader's side. Once a horse has accepted this rank its task is to protect the herd even with their life if necessary. The rank is usually given to stallions and horses with strong and well-controlled magical powers. Female warriors are forced to pause during pregnancy and may temporary or permantly renounce their rank after foaling.

Scout || They are the first ones to review unknown areas and are responsible to keep an eye on new members and foreigners. Sometimes they take the role of spies to check the enemies. The rank is usually given to smart and swift horses. Not gender-dependent.

Guard || They keep and eye on the borders, especially at night, and watch the area to make out strangers or members leaving. It's not unusual that warriors take this rank as well.

Member || A horse 4 years or older that has no specific task in the herd.

Youngster || A horse younger than 4 years that have no and mustn't have any specific task. They usually have a fool's license
